The Mommy + Me Social Club brings moms and their kids together for hands-on creative events at real places in your community — farms, parks, libraries, and more. The activities are fun for the kids. The conversations are good for the moms. And everyone goes home with something they made together.

Whether you have a newborn or a five-year-old, whether you're a first-time mom or on your third — this club is for you. No experience needed, just show up.
Hands-On & Take-Home
Every event is designed so kids make something real — a coloring sheet, bouquet, a painted canvas, a decorated cookie — that they get to take home and show off.
Real Friendships
We structure every event so moms actually talk to each other. You'll leave with a finished craft and at least one new number in your phone.
Pop-Up Everywhere
No permanent venue. We bring events to local farms, parks, libraries, and community spaces — keeping things fresh, seasonal, and close to where you live.
How It Works
Pick an Event
Browse the calendar and find an event near you — a farm, a park, a library. Register online in under 2 minutes.
Show Up & Create
All supplies are provided. You and your kid jump in, make something fun, and meet the other moms in the room.
Take It Home
Every child leaves with something they made. Every mom leaves with new connections — and usually a few laughs.

Build Your Mama Tribe!
Join us for a relaxed mommy + me morning in place of our usual Wednesday walk with @thecoollancastermoms_pa — designed for connection, creativity, and an easy start to your day. We'll have a simple canvas painting setup for littles, space to hang, and time for moms to connect while the kids create and play nearby.
This is a low-pressure, come-as-you-are gathering — nothing structured, just a beautiful way to spend the morning together 🤍
What to Expect
Canvas painting for littles (while supplies last — RSVP to paint)
Sensory bins for the littles
Canned coffee + matcha for moms (Pop + Bottle)
Simple snacks for littles
Casual outdoor setup — blankets + open space
All ages welcome
What to Bring
Blanket (some may be provided, but bring your own to be sure) · Chairs optional · Water + anything your little may need
Good to Know
- · We’re set up by the playground next to the Destination Pavilion at Overlook Park
- · Supplies + drinks are available while they last
- · Not a drop-off event — please plan to stay with your child
- · Spots aren’t limited, but RSVP helps us plan for painting supplies
- A photographer will be capturing a few moments for event promotion — let us know if you'd prefer not to be included

Free Things to Do in Lancaster
A running list of free and low-cost events, parks, programs, and places around Lancaster County — curated for moms and their little ones. No membership required.
Long's Park
One of Lancaster's most beloved parks — a fenced playground, walking trails, and a pond with ducks. Great for toddlers and a favorite spot for mom meetups.
1441 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA
Tip: Weekday mornings are quieter and great for stroller walks around the pond.
Muddy Run Park — Free Splash Pad
A free splash pad in Holtwood, PA — about 30 minutes from Lancaster City. Features buckets that dump, spritzers, and water nozzles. Splash Pad open Saturday, May 24th through Monday, Sept. 1st. Open daily, 10am–7pm (or sunset).

Tip: Bring a change of clothes and a towel — kids get completely soaked. Parking is free.
Buchanan Park
Large open green space with playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic areas, and a dog park. Great for toddlers and older kids alike.

Tip: Shaded benches near the playground make it a great spot for mom chats.
Overlook Park
140-acre park with walking trails and athletic fields offering a variety of fun outdoor activities. There are soccer fields, baseball/softball fields, four miles of paths, natural areas, and ponds. Also features a dog park, golf practice range, golf course, mini-golf course, activity center/skating rink, outdoor pool, banquet facility, restaurants, playgrounds (one with an interactive music system), disc golf course, skate park, Bocce Ball, and a library.

Lancaster Rec Summer Wading Pools & Playgrounds — FREE
A FREE 8-week summer program at six locations across Lancaster City. Open Monday–Friday, 11:30am–4:30pm. Free lunch served at 11:30am for children 18 and under. Program is designed for ages 6–13; younger children welcome with a parent.

Tip: Check Lancaster Rec's website each spring for the exact start date and locations — usually kicks off in early June.
